SEO has become really tough with all Google's updates. But, its always
been a lot of work, and, you've always needed to know what you are
doing.
The rule of thumb is: give Google what they want.
Matthew knows a lot about SEO, so his call is a great introduction to
the subject.

In some ways, it's
easier to do SEO now if you are using WordPress. You can get plugins
that help you in many, many different ways.
